Lost a customer over this
I’m just here to echo everyone’s comments. I did not realize, when I bought the stroller on Amazon, that it would even require a “second seat adapter.” So the transparency of this company is lacking front to back. But to not keep this item in stock so people can use an infant car seat + toddler seat is a horrible practice, and I’m never using this company again.

I bought this stroller so that I could convert it to a double. Unfortunately the second seat adapter has been out of stock for months. The only option is to buy a second seat which comes with the adapter for $250 but I don’t need the second seat. Sounds like a money grab to me. Exploring other brand options.

Honestly everyone has already said it but they discontinued the second seat adapter as a money grab opportunity so people will buy A WHOLE SECOND SEAT when they don’t need it. Pathetic and extremely poorly ran company. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Unhappy with the money grab scheme
Unhappy with the fact that these second seat adapters are sold out and you can only get them if you get the whole second seat kit. What a money grab…. It’s pathetic. Will not be recommending or buying any other baby jogger products that’s for sure!

This company is absolute trash. First off, I agree with every 1 star reviews on this product. I bought the city select 2 travel system in the hopes of extending it to be able to accommodate for another kid. However, I needed the adapters for the 2nd seat and when I contacted them, they suggest me to buy a whole seat instead. What a joke. That said, I believe their customer support folks are anything but customer centric. I spoke to couple of folks and they both came across as rude.
Not having the parts is one thing, but not being able to talk nicely to the customers who place their trust in you and spend hundreds of dollars on your products is absolutely unacceptable.
Both reps I spoke to are very happy to have me return their product (which I will) instead of even putting the slightest effort to solve the issue.
If you are selling the seats, I'm sure you have the adapters. STOP SCAMMING PEOPLE Baby Jogger

Corrupt Company
Just adding to what everyone else has already stated- this company is corrupt. Forcing you to buy a full several hundred dollar kit that includes a seat as opposed to just selling these adapters is just plain wrong. We will be warning all of our friends and family about these terrible business practices and suggest they find another baby stroller solution!
