Care & Maintenance
    • Cleaning the Seat Pad: Refer to the care tag on your seat pad for washing instructions. NEVER use carrier without the seat pad attached. Cleaning the Shell: Spot clean using warm water and mild soap. Do not use any other cleaning agents or bleach. Cleaning the Harness Straps: Spot clean with mild soap and damp cloth. DO NOT SOAK straps in water as this may weaken them. Cleaning the Buckle: Remove buckle to clean Rotate the car seat and locate the metal retainer on the underside of the seat shell. Rotate the metal retainer up through the shell and pad. From the front, pull out the buckle. To clean, place in a cup of warm water and gently agitate the buckle. Press the red button several times while in the water. DO NOT SUBMERGE THE BUCKLE STRAP. DO NOT USE SOAPS, HOUSEHOLD DETERGENTS or LUBRICANTS. Shake out excess water and allow to air dry. Repeat steps as needed until it fastens with a click. Re-insert the buckle into the same slot it was removed. Pull up on crotch buckle to make sure it is secured. WARNING! Inspect and clean buckle from time to time to remove any objects or debris that could prevent latching. CLEANING HARNESS AND LOWER ANCHOR STRAPS Surface wash only with mild soap and damp cloth. DO NOT IMMERSE THE HARNESS STRAPS or LOWER ANCHOR STRAP IN WATER Doing so may weaken the straps. We have been using the doona, but knew we would want to switch our daughter out of it before her first birthday because it’s pretty heavy. After hearing about a different rotating car seat being under investigation, I realized not all car seats are created equal in terms of safety. I compared Graco, Evenflow, Cybex, and Chico in addition to BabyJogger. I utilized both ConsumerReport and BabyGearLab. That’s all it took for me to realized how safe the BabyJogger City Turn is! Both organizations noted how well it performed in their independent, rigorous crash tests, especially against other rotating car seats. I was pretty much sold on BabyJogger but was a little hesitant to purchase because of the price. We were waiting for the holidays to end to purchase because this is such an expensive time of year. But then Black Friday happened!! The car seat went 30% off and I jumped at the opportunity to purchase it!! We had intended to switch our daughter at about 9 months old, but had plans to travel before then. We ended up transitioning her at 7 months and I am so glad. She is clearly more comfortable and honestly it just looks safer. The installation was simple enough and it. doesn’t. budge. My husband is particularly happy with how sturdy this seat is. He can’t stop talking about it, our whole family got a ‘car seat tour’ at Thanksgiving! Ultimately, it loses half a star for two reasons: 1. Like everyone else has said, the straps are super short. Like it’s kinda stupid how short they are. I imagine we’ll have to transition our daughter out of it at about 2 years old. Fortunately, we plan to use this for other kids so it’s not a huge deal. But I could see it being a problem for someone not planning to have anymore children. 2. While it is easy to take the fabric off the seat, it can only be spot cleaned. I understand why you can’t submerge the straps, but I wish the cushions could go in the washing machine. We had a blow out and clean up was rough. Alas, first world problems!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality What a waste of money. While this seat seems very comfortably, the quality is poor. This seat should last until t your child is 65 lbs but parts of the seat have broken after only 2 years. The warranty is only 1 year. There are far more superior turning seats on the market than this one and this one is one of the priciest. Biggest regret in my opinion.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great chair but not quite "new" I love the chair-- it is so much easier to get my wriggly son in and out of the car with the rotating seat. Consumer Reports rates this as the safest rotating car seat, which makes me feel good, too. My only disappointment is that I ordered the seat in July 2024 and the seat delivered to me was manufactured in 2022, which shortens the lifespan of the chair. I'd hoped I could use this with multiple children, and losing 2 years out of a 10 year lifetime is significant!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Straps are WAY TOO SHORT can't use past age 2. As an infant seat, as most people are saying, the swivel is the best feature. Love not hurting my back taking baby in and out and nor twisting babies back either. However, besides that, forget it. Like most people say once your baby reaches 1 there is no leg room. Like many people are saying as well once about 2yrs, straps are just not working. you just can't use it. The straps are no where near long enough. I've had 4 kids and this carseat has been the only brand that doesn't have long straps. Ridiculous. Not worth the price. Too bad too. If it weren't for the short straps, it would have been a great seat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Straps not long enough I was excited to get this car seat on prime day but either I was received an item with manufacturing problems or the car seat was no good. My son is built relatively lanky so it was time to transition him out of his infant carseat. Being at 33in and 25lbs, the straps seemed to not pull out as much to fit his dimensions, I could say his Nuna lips lite had more length when pulling the straps out. I don’t know how the manufacturer expects babies of other sizes to fit as he is pretty skinny already.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will not rotate in forward facing position I’m so confused as to how you can advertise this as a rotating car seat, when it DOESN’T rotate while forward facing! In no way, shape, or form is this shown or disclosed in a manor you would pick up on when buying it. Only after purchasing it & then reading the manual did I realize this & am so angry to have done the work and research to find a swivel seat option that turns out not to be a swivel seat.

I used car seat about 6 months (had purchased about 6 months prior to use) the straps started loosening when driving you can just pull them down. I contacted customer service they wanted a receipt which I couldn’t retrieve the email from buy by baby since it was prior to bankruptcy. They told me to get food or crumbs out of seat which my child has never eaten nor were there crumbs or any small particles under the lever where you loosen. I sent them photos videos serial numbers but unable to refund or replace due to no receipt. Heartbroken, really wanted to use this long term especially for the price.

The turn option makes it so easy to get even a cranky fighting toddler in the car seat with you having the upper hand at getting them safely buckled in! Also very secure forward facing and it looks so sleek too which is a bonus! All in all we absolutely love this car seat.

But we had to purchase this one after already purchasing another due to the seat snapping away from the base. We were reluctant to purchase the same seat again but hopefully this one is better.

The only thing that would make it better would be having the magnet or holder for the lower metal clips to make it easier to put baby in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Straps malfunction Received this as a gift as well as the Nuna car seat. If you are in between the two go with the Nuna. Not sure if it’s just my Car seat or all but the straps are extremely hard to pull tight to the point where I get bruises on my forearm. Straps are also very short making it difficult as well. I have ensured there are no tangles or twists in the straps and still very hard to pull tight. Very disappointed as by the time my baby could start using it was past the return window. Would not recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Safety concern Disappointed. I got this car seat at my baby shower in September of 2022, but I did not begin using it until September of 2023. Initially it was great. However, the car seat is rattling so bad I’m afraid to use it. The car seat is installed properly. I’ve had it checked by -a certified car seat safety technician and I’ve also had the CPST check my baby’s position when he’s in the car seat. She can’t understand why it is rattling. It sounds as if there are loose screws/bolts within the body of the car seat. I have called and emailed baby jogger and was told that a car seat safety technician would call me back same day and I’ve never heard from anyone. Instead, they sent me an email with a laundry list of tasks to complete before they could look into the issue. I’m a busy mom who quite frankly doesn’t have time to send in multiple photos. I want the car seat replaced. This is not an issue from viewing a photo that can be fixed. Ticket # 43234610 and #43234655 I’ve recommended this car seat over a dozen other parents at my child’s daycare and several have purchased it. Now that the car seat is rattling I will not be recommending this anymore. I’m very disappointed in the CUSTOMER SERVICE that I’ve received from Baby Jogger.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I wanted to love this seat I wanted to love this seat. This was my first seat that wasn’t a Britax. First, the installation doesn’t feel near as stable as the Britax even though there is no movement at the base. There is a lot of movement of the entire seat itself once in position. I know the installation is correct just makes me constantly worry. The position of the shoulder straps don’t seem to fit on smaller babies correctly. Looks like it’s too far from center of their shoulder without moving chest clip up uncomfortably high. Seems like in an accident the baby’s shoulders will come right out, even if very tight bc the width of the harness. The cover falls off to the buckle between legs every time you unbuckle, it’s absolutely awful. Lastly, now that my baby is 8 months, it appears there isn’t enough extra length in the harness for her to grow anymore. There’s only 3 inches left and my baby is small. I don’t know how a child could fit in this forward facing. For $500 I’m extremely disappointed in this product and I own MANY other Baby Jogger items. This seat is useless to me and a waste of $500 because I have to get another seat the straps will be long enough in for a baby bigger than 15 lbs. Extremely disappointed to throw away this amount of money.

Also Straps are very short even when fully extended. It's a major flaw and limits the longevity of use. More padded side head support would be nice too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best car seat ever Just buy this car seat. It is worth every penny. I have tried other rotating ones, and they just do not hold a candle to this one. I do wish it had to cupholders, but otherwise amazing. It is so easy to install, to clean (we wash every other week) and to put your child in. We’ve had it for about a year and it’s still in great shape and so clean. I’m currently nine months pregnant and I didn’t realize how much of a game changer this would be for that too. So many of our friends and family have now also purchased it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great idea, could be better I purchased the car seat 12/22 and been using it now for 6 months. My son is 10 months old weighs about 20 pounds. Here is my honest review. Pros: the swivel Cons: The buckle is too short and it’s not comfortable for my boy. There is no magnet to hold the straps in place so I can put my baby in the seat. I have to throw the straps to the side in hopes that they don’t fall back into the seat. I had to get tethers and attach a paci and a teether so it can weigh the straps out. The Nuna had the magnets and it was a game changer. The cooling technology doesn’t work. I picked up my son from daycare today and 15 minute drive he was already damp. I need to future out how I can keep him cool, this is not good for him to be sweating even with the AC on. The leg room rear facing is terrible. My son is only 28.5 inches long and his feet are almost touching the back seat. I don’t know what I am going to do once he is able to touch the backseat and if he becomes uncomfortable. Is this even safe? I will have to prob end up buying a new car seat that will fit him soon. I spent a lot of money on this just to have to get a new one in less than a year. It would be awesome if there was an option or an accessory to have a canopy of some sort like an infant car seat to keep the sun out. A visor or something.

It had the swivel feature that I liked but over time I noticed that the fabric started pilling considerably. For as much money as I paid for this car seat, it should definitely be holding up much better that it is. We have been using this for five months with my daughter. I’m pretty disappointed in the quality, overall. Baby jogger should have much better material for the price that they charge. I wish we would have purchased the Nuna instead. I have tried to upload pictures of the pilling, but it is not loading.

I think by the time she is big enough to change to forward facing, she will be able to climb in herself and it won't bother me that it isn't 360. The fabric and car seat itself look and feel so nice. My daughter loves it. Straps are super easy to tighten.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome seat that’s just a little big in a 4Runner The only reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is because it’s so big that my husband can’t drive my 4Runner comfortably bc the seat can’t go back far enough. Other than that, it’s amazing. My daughter hated her car seat bc it was so snug and torture getting her in and out. Being able to rotate the seat is a game changer and the design gives her much more room for her shoulders and arms while still being safe and secure. Definitely recommend!

I love how it swivels with rear facing but I’m pretty upset that it doesn’t swivel with forward facing. That was not mentioned anywhere in the ad. I thought I must be doing something wrong but now after reading the other ads, it’s true it only rotates when rear facing. For the price, I’m disappointed.
