My name is Michelle Benson. After what
happened to me about a month ago, I feel
compelled to tell you my story and thank you for
your wonderful product.
Our family was camping in Grand Teton National
Park, and I took my 20 month old son Shawn out
in his Baby Jogger stroller for a jog one
morning. Well, we got hit by a car from behind
going 45 mph. The Baby Jogger stroller Shawn was
in rolled several times, but Thank God Shawn was
completely unharmed. Miracle! But I was hurt
pretty bad. I had to be air lifted to the
hospital in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I had a
concussion, a crushed foot, a super deep
laceration up the back of my calf and knee,
broken ribs, broken elbow, a broken jaw and
loads of road rash and stitches. I was in the
hospital for a week. The accident was July 15
and I'm still on home IV antibiotic everyday,
picc line and all. My jaw is still wired shut,
and I can't walk yet, but I'm very very lucky to
be alive! Most importantly, so is my baby Shawn.
As you can surmise by the extent of my injuries,
we were hit hard. But Shawn was OK, thanks to
the Baby Jogger stroller. The Baby Jogger
stroller, though bent and beat up, is intact and
is being held in Jackson, WY as evidence as this
is apparently going to trial as the driver of
the car has pled not guilty. Below I have
included one of the articles about the accident.

I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my
heart for building such a wonderful stroller
that saved my son's life.

I am also compelled to let you know what a great
stroller you make and how it also saved my
grandson's life.
On September 4, 2007, my 8 month old grandson
was also hit by a car while his parents were
crossing the road. One car had stopped to
let them go by, but the car coming the other way
did not. He was going approximately 25-30 and
did not see the stroller. It had clipped the
front of it and ripped it out of his mother's
hands and spun the stroller around and then it
went side over side a couple of times. Thank god
the baby was strapped him well and he did not
get hurt. He was taken to the hospital
immediately and released late that night.
We believe it was the stroller that saved his
life. It was the harness style strap that held
him in and the sturdiness of the stroller.
The umbrella on the top was extremely helpful in
guarding his head as this took quite a beating
too.
Thank you for making a very very safe stroller.

My 3 year-old daughter and I were out today
(Oct. 5, 2007) running along a busy street. As
we crossed the street a car accelerated and ran
into us. Fortunately, the lightness and the
maneuverability of the jogger allowed me to turn
the jogger so that the impact was minimized. Its
stability allowed us to stay up right and I know
that it saved us from serious injury.
Thank you and your employees for the efforts
they put into manufacturing a first rate
product.
