Hook ‘Em Young – Your kids might not be old
enough to pedal, but these five trailers let
them come along on the ride.
“Baby Jogger Switchback – The Cadillac of the
trailer world, the Switchback has a cushy double
seat and there’s lots of legroom. The adjustable
5-point safety harness with padded straps hold
one or two kids securely and comfortably. Tinted
side windows open for increased ventilation and
a wind/rain window and bug screen protect your
child. It converts easily, tool-free, to a
jogger. A direct pull V-brake stops the trailer
in jogging mode via a hand lever on the push
bar. The Switchback collapses quickly: just pull
two handles on each side of the trailer. Opening
it is just as easy…”

"Baby Jogger’s very easy-to-maneuver Double City
Mini is smaller than any other double jogger out
there and it’s surprisingly simple to fold.”
**Please note that the City Mini Double is
not a jogging stroller. Baby Jogger does not
recommend this stroller for exercise activities
despite the reviewer’s statement.

"Now that the weather’s warm, go outside with
your baby and get moving! We’ve pulled
together the gear and accessories you need for a

Baby Couture, Spring 2008
"If you want value for your money in a stroller,
look no further than the City Elite. Keep up
with the metropolis and its fast-paced lifestyle
with your little uptowner in style, and on
three-wheels. The latest from the Baby Jogger’s
City Series collection, this chic item is a fine
choice for steering through the urban walkways
(and practically any terrain, for that matter),
with your child viewing the sights comfortably
in front. Equipped with their patented
Quick-Fold Technology for storage convenience,
it is available in single and double sizes –
with padded reclining seats, large adjustable
canopies for sun protection, and raised kickers
for the tiny feet (very useful when they are
sleeping). Its handlebar console, seat back
storage compartment and storage basket under the
seat keep all the extra load out of your busy
pushing hands, while the accessory mounting
bracket specially designed to hold Baby Jogger
accessories – foot muff, child tray, car seat
adaptor and drink holster, among others – is
built to cater to your other strolling needs.
This durable rider can also carry up to 75 lbs,
but do resist the temptation to try it on
yourself (or the hubby) to see how much weight
this baby can really take – we haven’t road
tested it that far."

Mommies

"The latest in Baby Jogger's line of strollers
is the City Series Mini. I'm loving it - which
shouldn't come as a surprise because I'd loved
my City Series Single and Double. So with a 4
year old and a 15 month old, I'm definitely in a
position to downgrade my stroller size…
…The Mini's less sporty yet it still has the
easy maneuverability I love so much out of the
Baby Joggers. But this one is definitely not
intended even for jogging, and I can't see
really using it in this capacity. This is better
for a mall trip, quick in-and-out of the store
and short walks…"

The Boca Raton Observer – Gear Guide,

"The ATS stands out as a stylish urban stroller

cruise a busy mall. The ATS features a padded
reclining seat for naps on the go, an integrated
suspension system to absorb bumps, and a
multi-position sun canopy with side vents.”

People.com, January 2008
After making the big move to New York City,
Jennifer Garner and daughter Violet have been a
sweet fixture on Manhattan’s playgrounds. To
navigate the busy streets of their new hometown,
Jennifer keeps baby Violet safe and comfortable
in a City Series stroller by Baby Jogger. Unlike
other strollers, the City Series swivel wheel
makes it easy to weave through crowds even in
inclement weather. The stroller even folds up
into a light, compact, easy-to-carry position so
it can be tossed into a cab or the subway in one
quick step.

The Family Groove, December 2007
"…Recently, Baby Jogger came out with a gorgeous
array of new strollers for 2008 that I LOVE: the
City Elite, the City Classic and the City Mini.
My favorite of the bunch is the City Mini, which
is slimmer, lightweight (only 16.8 lbs.) and
more maneuverable than the classic City Series
stroller. Though made by Baby Jogger, the City
Mini is meant to be used as an "everyday"
stroller. The "coupe" to the City Series
"sedan," it builds upon the same features that
make the City Series stroller a proverbial
favorite among parents, but in a smaller, more
compact package. Though it was designed with
urban parents in mind (those who need a
high-quality, durable stroller that will both
easily maneuver city streets while at the same
time not take up a third of their apartment),
it's equally appropriate for suburban parents as
well - especially ones like me who don't have
much garage space to spare…”

American Baby, November 2007
"Double Duty – Don’t shy away from side-by-side
double strollers out of concern that they won’t
go through a door; none [listed below] is wider
than a wheelchair, so all fit through standard
entrances. They fold flatter than front-to-back
models, making them easy to store and travel
with. Kids ride next to each other, which has
its pros and cons; a definite plus is that you
can easily reach them both…
...Baby Jogger’s City Mini Double turns on a
dime and folds in a jiffy." |

Velo News, Fall 2007
(Translated from
French)
"Baby Jogger Switchback Hybrid - Parents who
enjoy sharing jogs and bike rides with their
toddlers now have more options than ever. This
trailer is probably the most practical
especially because of its easy conversion
method. It transforms from jogging mode to
bicycle mode in the blink of an eye; the front
fork folds away under the trailer. Only the
front wheel needs to be removed, and it can be
tucked away in the rear pouch.
And when it comes to baby's comfort, [they]
haven't left out a thing. The seats are
comfortably padded, the harness is easily
adjustable, the [helmet pocket] leaves room for
helmets, and the side windows provide plenty of
ventilation." |

GearReview.com, September 2007
"If you are looking for a stroller/jogger that is
ruggedly made, has all the bells and whistles
and is very maneuverable, look no further. The
ATS easily fits in the trunk of just about any
car and has room for all the stuff that parents
seem to carry with and for their children --
diapers, toys, food, clothes... the list goes on
and on, and that's just for a walk! The stroller
rolls with ease over all but the worst terrain
with nary a complaint.......
.....There are other trailers out there. There
are other strollers out there. There are even
other trailers that double as strollers. The
Switchback is the best homologation that I've
seen to date. Also, unlike other manufacturers,
it comes with everything you need for both the
trailer mode and the stroller mode, so there are
no hidden costs down the road. The quality is as
good as I've seen -- the Switchback will hold up
to years of abuse, easily outlasting your
child's desire to ride in it. If you are looking
for a trailer/jogging stroller, you owe it to
yourself to check out the Switchback."

Fit Pregnancy, August/September 2007
"Get your body back with baby – When you’re a
new mom, it’s hard to find time to exercise. A
jogging stroller allows you to work out while
hanging out with your baby. In 1984 Baby Jogger
introduced its first model; unlike regular
strollers, it could handle long distances and
rough terrain. Since then, the original has been
improved by both Baby Jogger and many other
companies.” |
| |
 |
H2O Magazine, July/August 2007
“The Baby Jogger Company, inventor of the
original three wheeled jogger, has introduced an
innovative hybrid stroller/jogger – the All
Terrain Swivel (ATS). The ATS incorporates a
lockable swivel front wheel, effortless compact
folding capabilities with a storage latch and an
absorbent Air Glide Suspension System, creating
a superior multi-faceted stroller for today’s
adventures seeking and city dwelling parents
The 12-inch front swivel front wheel turns on a
dime for ultimate maneuverability and then locks
into place with the touch of a button for a
serious run. The large 16-inch rear wheels are
ideal for running. For convenience, the ATS comes
with a soft console that includes a secure
zippered pouch for keys and/or a cell phone, and
two drink holders. The ATS features a padded
reclining seat for naps on the go, an integrated
suspension system to absorb bumps, and a
multi-position sun canopy with side vents.
The ATS is available in combinations of
navy/silver and red/silver, both with reflective
stitching for maximum road safety.”

The New York Times, August 9, 2007
“This hybrid has a well designed conversion
system, which changed from bicycle trailer to
running stroller in less than a minute…”

Baby Couture Magazine, Summer 2007
“The Baby Jogger Performance Series Double
(dubbed “The Ultimate High Performance
Stroller”) has a 150-lb capacity designed to
seat two passengers of the same or varying
sizes. True to the Baby Jogger name, it is ideal
for long-distance running on various surfaces.
The 20-inch front and rear wheels minimize
rolling resistance and allow you to cover more
distance with less effort, and frankly, these
wheels look mighty fine. With its sound
aerodynamic structure and shock-absorption
system, you can bet that your little one’s
bottoms are tucked in for a smooth ride, no
matter what terrain may be. Safety-wise, the
increased braking power of its new Direct-pull
V-brake, coupled with a reliable parking rake,
offer you more control over your kids’ security.
A 5-point safety harness holds the little
passengers in place. Moreover, each cushy,
padded seat is fitted with a canopy for
protection against harmful rays of the sun and
other elements, and to ensure your children’s
comfort, the seats can be reclined
independently.”

Runner’s World, July 2007
“While there are several convertible
jogger/trailers out there, I’ve never seen one
that folded as easily as the Switchback. A
simple lift of soft handles on either side of
the carriage collapsed it. Thanks to a
patent-pending storage system, the front fork
and tow bar were always on hand and easy to
switch between trailer and jogger. When not in
use, the 16-inch front wheel (the rear tires are
20 inches) tucked into the rear pocket. Since
it’s a double, the Switchback had plenty of room
for my twins, but with more than 50 pounds
onboard, I appreciated the V-brake on the
adjustable-height handlebars.” |

Mommy Style – Shopping, Blogging &
Changing Diapers, June 2007
“I am a big
fan of Baby Jogger's City Series line. We have a
single that we have been using for years with my
oldest. Of course, with two kids now we had to
up the ante and get a double stroller. My
oldest is three and a half but we go to the
beach most weekends every summer. And although
my son likes to walk, he isn't about to walk the
distances we do in the summer. We like to take
nice long walks to the bay and to the
playground, and I could just see getting two
miles out to the playground and his asking to be
carried home. So we're all in with the
Baby Jogger City Series double. And I love it
about as much as I love the single.......
......Otherwise, as my brother in law recently
stated, it rides like a knife cuts through
butter - so smooth you actually find yourself
smiling to push it. My husband loves that this
monster of a stroller can actually be pushed and
steered with one hand - and if you think about
it, a double stroller, two kids, one hand?
That's pretty nice. Other perks are
similar to those of the single - an adjustable
handle (great for a short and a tall parent as
you can raise or lower it), the swivel lock
front wheels and a nice big basket on the
bottom. They also updated the shades - these
shades pull all the way down to virtually shield
almost all of the baby and most of my 3 year
old. It folds very easily too. I hate when
I spend half an hour trying to figure out straps
and latches to get a stroller to fold......” |

Baby Blog at Celebrity-babies.com,

"The attractive, sturdy, and incredibly maneuverable Baby Jogger
City Series Double is perfect for all sorts of terrains - its
impressive shocks and large wheels make for a smooth ride over
bumpy sidewalks or grassy areas. You can even steer effectively
with one hand! Surprisingly, it fits easily through all
door frames and moves smoothly through most grocery and drug
store aisles (width is 29 3/4"). The independent
extended sun canopies are another added bonus - covering twice
as much area as regular canopies and relieving sunburn concerns.
The seats recline to an almost horizontal position so babies and
toddles can nap comfortably....
...Celebrity parents who have the City Series Double include Brooke
Shields, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, Angelina Jolie and
Brad Pitt, Will Ferrell, Benjamin Bratt, Patrick Dempsey, and
Stella McCartney. Overall, two thumbs up for this
attractive and highly functional stroller!" |

"Out of all the jogging strollers we’ve tested out recently the
Q-Series is our favorite. It looks and feels sturdy and solid,
but is light enough that anyone can easily lift it into the car
trunk. It has, by far, the most thrilling convenient one-step
folding mechanism we’ve seen, allowing you to hold your baby
with one hand while folding up with the other. It handles
smoothly, with pneumatic 16” tires that take bumps and curbs
easily. We’ve tested it while walking and jogging on various
surfaces including paved, gravel and bumpy dirt paths. The
Q-Series handles all of it extremely well. In short, it has
everything you’d expect from a great jogging stroller; after
all, this is the company that invented them!" |
