Q. How old should my baby be before they are able to sit in the upright seat of a Baby Jogger?
A. Our strollers and joggers can be used for children from approximately six months to five-years-old. We do not recommend placing your baby in the seat of the jogger until they are able to sit and hold their head up without assistance.
Q. Do you have a car seat adaptor for your Baby Jogger double strollers?
A. We have now developed a patented car seat adaptor for our City Series and Summit double strollers. This new accessory solves the tipping issue often associated with this type accessory - making it the safest on the market. By placing our adaptor on a locking slide, an infant and a toddler can ride together by securing the car seat adaptor over one seat. If the toddler gets out, simply slide and lock the car seat adaptor in the center of the stroller to provide an equal weight distribution over the seats.
Q: Is my car seat compatible with your car seat adaptors?
A: Baby Jogger's standard car seat adaptor is compatible with the following car seats:
*Is not compatible with the Performance Series single car seat adaptor.
The following will NOT work with Baby Jogger's standard car seat adaptor:
**Baby Jogger is currently developing a car seat adaptor specifically for the Chicco brand of car seats. We are currently expecting this accessory to be available Spring 2010.
Q. What does the weight capacity of your stroller mean?
A. The weight capacity of Baby Jogger strollers includes the weight of the child or children, any items you are placing in the storage compartments and any accessories you are attaching. For example, if you are placing two 50 lb. children in a double stroller with a weight capacity of 100 lbs., you will exceed the weight capacity of the stroller by placing any items in the storage compartments or adding accessories. When using a double stroller, we recommend an even weight distribution on both sides of the stroller.
Q. What are the differences between an EVA, Forever-Air and Pneumatic tire?
A. An EVA wheel is a lightweight molded plastic wheel that is ideal for pavement or smooth urban terrain. This wheel is available on our City Micro and City Mini strollers, which helps to make them some of the most lightweight, compact strollers on the market.
A Forever-Air tire is a rubber tire inflated with a lightweight foam instead of air. This ensures the tire will not go flat with frequent use or rough terrain. The City Elite and City Select both feature Forever-Air tires.
A pneumatic tire is an inflatable rubber tire that provides a comfortable, smooth ride on many different terrains. The Summit, F.I.T. and Performance joggers have pneumatic tires, which add to their all-terrain capabilities.
Q. Which wheel size is right for me?
A. We've devised the following guidelines so you can choose the right wheel size for your needs:
Q. Can I use the City Series line to run with?
A. The City Series line of strollers is not intended for jogging purposes. The City Series is a line of all-terrain strollers that give you optimum versatility for every day use.
Q. Do all of your strollers have a seat which fully reclines?
A. The City Series line of strollers and the Summit models have a seat that reclines to a near flat position. Please note that the Summit's recline is for cruising purposes only. Please do not run or jog with the seat fully reclined.
Q. Do your strollers fold?
A. The City Series strollers, Summit, F.I.T and the Switchback Hybrid Trailer/Jogger feature our patented Quick-Fold technology. Just pull the clearly marked "FOLD" handle and the stroller or jogger collapses into an easily loadable and storable unit. This is quite possibly the easiest fold on the market today. All Quick-Fold strollers are equipped with a storage latch or strap to prevent the stroller from popping open during transport or storage. Please use the following instructions to determine how your fold latch works:
Our Performance Series joggers have a quick-release locking mechanism that makes folding them a breeze. Remove the quick-release wheels and the jogger folds flat to fit into your closet or car trunk.
Q. Can I use a buggy board with your strollers?
A. Baby Jogger is currently developing an accessory called the Glider Board; it is expected to be available in Spring 2010. The Glider Board will attach to the rear axle of any single or double stroller and provides an area for an older child to ride along. It is not compatible with the F.I.T., Performance or Switchback models and should not be used with the Summit while jogging. Buggy Boards made by other manufacturers are not recommended for use with Baby Jogger strollers.
Q. Is the fabric washable?
A. Yes, the seat and canopies of our strollers and joggers are made from strong, lightweight, washable fabrics which easily detach from the frame. The seat should be washed in cold water on the delicate cycle of your washing machine and attached back onto the stroller to dry.
Q. How much air should I put in my tires?
A. Baby Jogger recommends inflating your tires to 20 PSI. Your tire rim may say a maximum of 40 PSI, but please only inflate to 20 PSI. You can use a standard bicycle pump to inflate your tires or you can purchase a Baby Jogger air pump that will clamp on to the frame of the stroller for quick inflation on the go.
Q. Is your stroller safe?
A. Yes! Safety comes first at The Baby Jogger Company. We test and retest our products to ensure that all our current strollers either meet or exceed ASTM and/or EN 1888 TUV testing standards for strollers and carriages. Remember, we are the original Baby Jogger Company and that means we have over 25 years of experience caring for your precious cargo.
Q. Are your strollers covered by a warranty?
A. Yes! Our frames are backed by a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. The fabrics, wheels, tires and other components carry a one-year warranty. When calling in a warranty claim, please have your item number, serial number, manufacturer date stamp and proof of purchase on hand to expedite the process.
Q. What is the warranty if I live outside of the United States?
A. The warranty of your stroller or jogger is covered by the country in which you purchased it. If you purchased your Baby Jogger from a US retailer while living in another country, you are responsible for any shipping charges that may incur to fulfill a warranty claim.
